Special Olympics Georgia is a nonprofit organization, dedicated to transforming lives and building community. Using the power of sports, SOGA Area
7 inspires and transforms lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities in Baldwin, Bibb, Crawford, Jasper, Jones, Monroe, Putnam, Twiggs, Upson and Wilkinson counties.
What We Do
SOGA Area 7 offers unique opportunities to people of all ages living with intellectual disabilities. Through Special Olympics, our athletes discover and develop skills that unlock potential, on and off the playing field.

SOGA Area 7 participates in the statewide Special Olympics events every year, in addition to hosting numerous competitive events throughout the local area. Our goal is to continue to give our athletes the opportunities that inspire joy, friendship, positive health, and self-esteem.
Who We Are
Area 7 of Special Olympics Georgia (SOGA Area 7)is made up of all types of people with one common goal: to create a community where every single person is accepted and welcomed with open arms, regardless of ability.
Our community includes more than our athletes – we are made up of families, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, directors, and friends. Together, we hope to make the world a better and more accessible place for individuals living with intellectual disabilities.
